Cassidy is a Resident Adviser in McMahon Hall. As an RA, Cassidy works closely with a floor of UW students. She serves as a resource for them, helping them through any personal or academic issue they may have. She helps them create connections with both the campus community, and with other students on her floor and in the building. She hosts social and educational events for her residents, working hard to make sure that each resident feels valued, included, and connected during their time at UW. In this way, Cassidy’s contributions to the University of Washington are significant.
Many students have Cassidy to thank, in part, for their ability to be successful at the UW. Last year, Cassidy was a Resident Adviser in Terry Hall, where she also made strong connections with UW students and helped build a cohesive community.
This year in McMahon, Cassidy has shown leadership as a returning RA, helping new RAs adjust to their jobs and serving as a mentor as they navigate the challenges of having a high level of responsibility in a peer role. Cassidy also coordinates the hall newsletter program, creating informative and engaging content that helps residents be more connected to their building and campus. Cassidy is a dedicated leader in her community who is always available and accessible to those who she serves. She greatly deserves this recognition.
