Dr. Donna Bolima has been with the University of Washington Upward Bound Program with the Office of Minority Affairs and Diversity since 1988. She has worked multiple positions within the program but is currently the English Writing Instructor. She also teaches the students during an SAT prep seminar focusing on the verbal/written portions.
Up until a couple of years ago, Donna also taught a Bridge course for recently graduated seniors from Upward Bound entering the UW to help them adjust to college life and learn successful study habits. Donna holds a B.A. in English (Writing Emphasis) and Gender Studies, an M.A. in Education, and an Ed.D in Curriculum Leadership (Special Study in Visual Literacy). She also loves cats and spending time with her grandbaby.
