Brenda Luu is an inspirational and supportive friend. She is an active member of Education Transforming Community Health (ETCH), a group of UW students who volunteer to spread health education to one of the most vulnerable populations in Seattle–the homeless. She is selfless as she volunteers her own time and energy to prepare for ETCH sessions, often also preparing free meals for the homeless using her own resources. She has a dream to become an optometrist and have her own practice someday, but furthermore Brenda wishes to open a free eye clinic, continuing to serve the underserved by promoting their eye health. When she is not busy volunteering or preparing for a career that will impact the lives of many, she can be found singing or learning new songs on either the guitar or ukulele, both of which she picked up by teaching herself. She is an exceptional artist, a devoted health care advocate, and a caring individual.
