Jessica is a Resident Adviser in Haggett Hall. As an RA, Jessica works closely with a floor of UW students. She serves as a resource for them, helping them through any personal or academic issue they may have. She helps them create connections with both the campus community, and with other students on her floor and in the building. She hosts social events for her residents, working hard to make sure that each resident feels valued, included, and connected during their time at UW. In this way, Jessica’s contributions to the University of Washington are significant. Many students have Jessica to thank, in part, for their ability to be successful at the UW. In addition, Jessica has led Haggett’s recognition efforts. It takes a lot of work to keep a large residence hall up and running, and thriving as a strong community. Understanding the immense power of a thank you, Jessica has coordinated appreciation weeks for different staff types within Haggett, and also has nominated numerous individuals for campus and regional awards. Jessica is a dedicated leader in her community who is always available and accessible to those who she serves. She greatly deserves this recognition.
