Mackenna is the Assistant Director of Programming and Communication on Haggett People’s Council, which is one of the premiere student leadership organizations available to UW students living on campus. HPC is an organization dedicated to building community within Haggett Hall at the building-wide level, as well as ensuring that residents of Haggett are represented to other important campus organizations, such as ASUW, RCSA, SEED, and others. As an executive board member of HPC, Mackenna works collaboratively to set the vision and goals of HPC, ensuring that the organization is continuing to make a difference in the lives of Haggett residents. In her position, Mackenna works hard to ensure that HPC’s many large social events are run successfully. She also is responsible for managing HPC’s social media presence, which involves digital marketing of HPC events and initiatives, sharing information with constituents, brainstorming ways to reach more students, and overall engaging Haggett residents in an online platform. Mackenna is a truly valuable addition to the Haggett family, and greatly deserves this recognition.
