I am so excited to honor Professor Dorothy C. Bullitt, Senior Lecturer and Distinguished Practitioner at the Daniel J. Evans School of Public Policy and Governance, for Celebrating UW Women. Dorothy is the embodiment of a strong, fearless, compassionate, kind, and intelligent leader. She leads from the heart, intuitively, up, down, and sideways. Dorothy was the first person in my academic career to introduce me to the study of leadership as an academic field.
I had the pleasure of taking an influential freshmen collegium seminar two years ago and her professional leadership course in the Evans School just last year. Both classes contributed to personal growth and development immensely. In no other class where you will be greeted by highly successful and smart individuals who all share the passion to advance/better the world than in Dorothy’s classes. And even more, I look to Dorothy as a mentor and a source of inspiration. Thank you so much for everything Dorothy!
